About Me: A Journalism student based in North-West England

I’m a passionate writer who loves to search for interesting stories around me and always looking for new ways to share these.

Recently, I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a 2:1 BA (Hons) Journalism degree – of which I am incredibly proud. I learnt a lot in my three years as an undergraduate, including the basics of news writing, and starting a love-hate relationship with Teeline shorthand, but that was just the start.

Now, I am working towards completing my NCTJ Diploma with the much-needed ‘Gold Standard’. This involves a lot of hard and intense work, but it will all be worth it when I’m ready to work as a professional journalist upon completing my course in January.

As part of my fast-track adventure into the exciting world of Journalism, I am working as a Community News Reporter alongside Liverpool Echo – covering the areas of Speke and Garston. We also have work published with Purple Revolver and The Guide Liverpool.

meI wanted to create this website as a platform to display my recent work and experiment with different types of content and ways to tell these stories from the city of Liverpool.

I am very grateful for the platforms and opportunities to get started in our careers provided by both courses I have been on so far, but here, on my personal portfolio site, I am more free to publish the work that falls outside my patch but deserves to be shared with the world.
